We repair, rebuild, and refurbish all Palomar StarLux handpieces to manufacturer and factory specifications. This ensures your refurbished handpiece can perform as good as new in your clinical setting.

Depending on what your handpiece needs, turnaround time is typically 2-4 days, though this can vary. All repairs include our standard 30 day warranty on parts and labor.

Our standard refurbishing process for the Lux 2940 Fractional handpiece includes the following:

-Calibrating and verifying output energy
-Cleaning and testing the cooling system
-Polishing crystal
-Replacing flash lamp and seal kit
-Replacing wrapping on connection and head

We also do optional repairs. Please be advised these components cost extra on top of the standard refurbishing process. Other components that may need replacing in your handpiece include but are not limited to the following:

-Replacing cover shell case
-Replacing crystal glass
-Replacing flow tube
-Replacing optics
-Replacing rod
-Resetting shot count

If you have the original box, please use it to ship your equipment. If you have questions on shipping your equipment to us, please ask us before shipping it out. This will help minimize the chance of any shipping damage from occurring.

During the cold weather months, typically between November and April, please remember to drain your handpiece before shipping it out to our facility in Park City, UT. We can provide you draining assistance, if needed. If your equipment is not drained for shipping purposes, it may sustain freezing damage to the components. If the equipment sustains freezing damage, this would most likely increase your costs for device repair.

Insurance: We strongly recommend insuring your equipment. This will expedite repairs in the event shipping damage occurs by the shipping carrier.

Buyer Declared Insurance Value: Dollar amount you want your handpiece covered for. Please be advised a higher insurance amount will increase the shipping cost. Insurance is required for return shipping of your repaired item.

Any extraordinary insurance charges related to your equipment are your responsibility.
